ROBERT (BOB) G. POTTS
Robert (Bob) G. Potts, 50, 910 New Street, died at 1:05 a.m. Sunday in the emergency room of the Daviess County Hospital following an illness of approximately one hour. He was born in Washington on Oct 2, 1930, to Thomas R. Potts and Anabell Gadbury (sic) Jones. He married Betty Padgett Aug 19, 1958. Mr. Potts was a member of St. Simon's Church and was a supervisor of the local U.S. Post Office. He served as an air traffic controller in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He lived most of his life in Daviess County and lived in California for a short time. He was educated in California schools and local elementary schools and Washington High School. Surviving are his wife and his mother and stepmother, Edna Potts Foster, all of this city, and one daughter, Anna Pauline Potts, Greensboro, N.C., and one son, Joseph A. Potts, Evansville College, two brothers, Byrl E. and Edward R. Potts, both of this city, and two sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Barbara) Tillie, city, and Mrs. William (Virginia) Trujillo, Layton, Washington. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Church, with interment in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ed Lee Mortuary after 7 p.m. today and memberss of St. Simon's parish and friends will pray a rosary at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Mortuary.
