Orris Potts

Orris Norvell Potts, 80, Washington, Rt. 2, died at the Daviess County
        Hospital at 6 p.m. Monday. The funeral will be a 1:30 p.m. Thursday at
        Gill Chapel with the Rev. Marvin Arvin officiating. Interment will be
        in Oak Grove Cemetery in Reeve Township. The American Legion and VFW
        will accord full military honors at graveside. Friends may call from
        4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. He was born January 16, 1915
        at Waco to Alfred J. and Mary Jane Stewart Potts. He married Iona Cloe
        Collins, February 4, 1939 and she survives. He was a retired farmer working
        for the Ralph Berry Farms for 34 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving
        during World War II. He was a member of Truelove United Methodist Church
        and attended Porter School. Surviving are his wife and several nieces
        and nephews. One sister and two brothers, Faye Potter, and Christy and
        Leodis Potts, have died.
