LEVI F. POTTS DIES FOLLOWING BRIEF ILLNESS
Funeral of Retired Minister Will be Held on Thursday
Levi Franklin Potts, 78, a retired minister, died at his home here at 7 o'clock Monday night following a serious illness of two weeks of complications. Taken ill about two weeks ago at the family home, 1818 West Walnut Street. Mr. POTTS had been serious ever since with death ending his suffering early last night. It was thought pneumonia had developed. Born in Daviess county on November 1, 1857, the deceased was a son of John and Elizabeth (Allen) POTTS, and was married to Mary E. JONES who survives with two children, C. J. POTTS of Washington and Mrs. R. K. LENTS of Washington. Brothers and sisters surviving are Taylor POTTS of Washington, George POTTS of Knox County, Thomas POTTS of Steele Township and Mrs. Joseph ISHUM of Washington. Nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive. Mr. POTTS was a member of the United Brethren Church here, and funeral services will be held there at 10 o'clock Thursday morning with Rev. J. W. McMurtry officiating and interment following in Oak Grove Cemetery in Reeve Township. Elwood Williams will have charge of the funeral. The body will remain at the Williams Funeral Home until 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, being taken to the home at that hour to remain until the time of the funeral.
