DEATH TAKES J.W.POTTS
 
        John Wesley Potts, 1817 North Street, 79 years
        of age, died suddenly early this morning at the residence of John Myers'
        Nursing Home, 215 Oak Street. Mr. Potts had been a patient in the Nursing
        Home for the past month. He had been in failing health for a year. Deceased
        was born in Alfordsville on Dec 29, 1870, the son of William and Julia
        Ann (Rice) Potts. He was educated in the Alfordsville schools and was
        married to Martha Alice Potts on Aug 20, 1891. She preceded him in death
        in 1942. He was a member of Central Christian Church. Survivors are a
        son, Thomas Potts, Wayne, MI; and a daughter, Mrs. Mary Hart, city. A
        daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Johnson, preceded him in death. He leaves three
        grand and one great grand-children. Half brothers are Robert and Henry
        Potts, of Alfordsville. Friends may call at the Gill Chapel after noon
        Thursday to pay respects.
