Doris Potts

Doris I. Potts, 78, 608 W. Walnut St., died at 12:30 a.m. Saturday in
the Daviess County Hospital Extended Care Unit. The funeral was today
at 1:30 p.m. at the Mausoleum Chapel. The Rev. David Blystone officiated
with interment in the Sugarland Memory Gardens. Gill Chapel was in charge
of arrangements. She was born on May 17, 1920, in Washington to Stancil
Theodore and Lula Marie (Johnson) Potts. She was born in the same house
where she resided at the time of her death and lived there for her entire
life. Potts, a 1938 Washington High School graduate, was a retired telegraph
operator for the B & O Railroad for 37 years. She was an 1942 Indiana Central
College graduate and was an Eastern Star member since 1939. She was also
an Otterbein United Methodist Church member. Surviving are several cousins.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Burkholz.
