ROY C. POTTER DIES MONDAY
Roy Cecil Potter, 67, Washington, Rt 4, died at 10:30 p.m. Monday at the Crestview Nursing Home in Vincennes, where he had been seriously ill for four weeks.
He was a retired carmen helper for the B&O Railroad and had also been a farmer. He was a member of the Waco, Indiana, Church of Christ and the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen.
Born in Harrison township March 13, 1903, he was a son of Henry Clay and Elmenia (Wick) Potter. In 1927, he married Faye Alma Potts, and she survives him.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Juanita) Doersam, Huntingburg, and Mrs. Robert (Wanda Sue) Lents Jr., city; four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
He also leaves one brother, Lloyd Potter, city, and several nieces and nephews, two brothers preceded him in death.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Gill Funeral Home with Bro. John Edwards of Bloomington officiating. Burial will be in New Veale Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
