ALICE POTTER DIES FOLLOWING LONG ILLNESS
Funeral Sunday Afternoon for Aged Local Resident.
Mrs. Alice POTTER, 83, of 101 West Main Street, widow of the late Samuel POTTER, died at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Daviess county hospital.
Death of Mrs. POTTER was attributed to a complication of ailments, and came after a lingering illness of 13 weeks.
A native of Reeve township, the deceased was born Apr 7, 1856, a daughter of John and Juda (POTTS) SMITH, and was married to Samuel POTTER, who died in 1921. She was educated in Reeve.
Surviving Mrs. POTTER is an adopted son, Walter SCOTT, of Wheatland.
Funeral services are to be held at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the First Christian church, of which she was a member, with Rev. R. M. SIMS officiating, and burial following in Old Union cemetery south of Alfordsville.
The body will remain at the Keller mortuary until the hour of the funeral, and friends may call there to pay respects.
