Elizabeth C. Perkins

MOTHER OF 16 CHILDREN WILL BE BURIED AT PLAINVILLE - Mrs. Elizabeth C. Perkins, 62, wife of William Thomas Perkins, farmer living a mile and a half southwest of Cornettsville in Bogard Township, died Sunday morning at 9:20 o’clock at the family home. Death of Mrs. Perkins was attributed to a complication of ailments and came after a two year illness.

Funeral services have not been definitely arranged, but rites and burial will be at Plainville, with Huette Poindexter & Sons in charge.

Mrs. Perkins was born on February 66, 1876, a daughter of Nicholas and Sophia (Fisher) Lentz, and married Mr. Perkins as a young woman.  Sixteen children were born to the union, five preceding the mother in death.

The 11 surviving children are Calvin R. of Indianapolis, Francis E. of Wadsworth, Ohio, Polen C. of California, Ethel O. at home, Charles W. at Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Alvin Pershing of Anderson, John C. and Mrs. Harold Kiser of Akron, Ohio, James C. of Indianapolis, Evelyn and Nelson J. at home. Two sisters also survive Mrs. Samuel Kirazian of Indianapolis and Mrs. Earl Lee of Loogootee.
