VERNON NOLLEY
Vernon P. Nolley, 77, 520 S. Meridian St., Washington, Ind, died at Deaconess Hospital, Evansville at 6:15 p.m. Friday. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Gill Chapel with Pastor Jim Payton officiating. Interment will be in Sugarland Memory Gardens. Friends may call after 4p.m. today at the funeral home. He was born May 8, 1911 in Daviess County to George W. and Mary Franklin Nolley. He married Regina Killion May 25, 1949 and she survives. He was a Lieutenant for Indiana Excise Police retiring in 1975. He was retired owner of Hillie’s Restaurant and Lounge and miniature golf course. He was a member of the American Legion and Central Christian Church. He was a veteran of World War II with the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife and two daughters and two sons, Milinkia Payne, Pelham, Ga., Grace Butler and Nick Nolley, both of Covington Ga., Michael Nolley, Washington, Ind. Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren and two brothers, Frank Nolley, Wettering, Ohio and Don Nolley, Washington, Ind. Two grandchildren, one sister and four brothers have died.
