Richard Nolley Dies Early Today
Richard A. (Doc) Nolley, 51, Washington Rt. 3, county farm superintendent
for the past 13 years, died at 1:15 a.m. today at the Daviess County
Hospital. He had been ill since October of last year and was seriously
ill one week.
A lifetime resident of Daviess County. Mr. Nolley was born September
27, 1918, a son of Mrs. Catherine (Ash) Nolley who resides at Montgomery
and the late Harvey S. Nolley. His wife, Betty Jo Sheetz Nolley, preceded
him in death on November 13, 1968. They were married June 21, 1945.
Mr. Nolley was educated in Barr Township schools and was a member of
St. Simon's Catholic Church.
He leaves one son, Kevin D. Nolley at home; two daughters, Kathy Nolley,
Indianapolis and Lori Ann Nolley, at home; four brothers, Arlan Nolley,
Washington; Donald Nolley, Cannelburg R. 1; James and Gilbert Nolley,
both of Montgomery; two sisters, Mrs. Victor (Cleo) Queen, Wabash, Indiana
and Mrs. Donald (Kathleen) Livingston, Tustin, California. One son, Michael
Dean, and two brothers Joseph and Kenneth Nolley, preceded him in death.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Simon's Church, with interment
in St. Peter's Cemetery, Montgomery. Friends may call at the Lee and
York Chapel after 7 p.m. today. The Rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Thursday.
