George Nolley

FORMER RESIDENT KILLED AT WASHINGTON
        George Nolley, 78 retired farmer, and former local resident, was killed
        Tuesday afternoon at Washington when he was struck by an auto. He was
        taken to the Daviess county hospital, where he died four hours later.
        Driver of the car was Ralph Watkins of Washington. He told police that
        he did not see Nolley, because he was glanceing at a construction job.
        Mr. Nolley was born June 7, 1878 in Daviess county, the son of Edward
        and Anna (Rice) Nolley. His wife Mrs. Mary Franklin Nolley died in 1930.
        He was a member of the Odon Christian church and the Masonic lodge at
        Glendale.
        Mr. Nolley is survived by seven children, 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren,
        also one sister.
        Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the V.L. Poindexter
        funeral home in Washington with interment in Walnut Hill cemetery.
