DONALD NOLLEY
Donald Ray Nolley, 85, 409 John St., Washington, died at the Daviess
County Hospital at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday. The funeral will be at 10:30
a.m. Saturday at Gill Chapel with Pastor James Payton officiating.
Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. The American Legion and VFW
will present the flag at graveside. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m.
Friday at the funeral home. He was born Aug. 8 1908 in Daviess County
to George W. and Mary Franklin Nolley. He married Blanche Herman and
she died May 13 1974. He married Etta Himsel Oct. 4, 1975 and she survives.
He was a retired Uniroyal Corp. employee and was a charter member of
Central Christian Church. He was a veteran of World War II serving
in the Army in the Philippines. He attended Glencoe Schools and Plainville
High School. Surviving are his wife and three stepsons, Marvin Himsel,
Baytown, Tex, Jerry and Harold Himsel, both of Washington, nine step
grandchildren and 13 step great grandchildren and one brother Frank
Nolley, Kettering, Ohio. One sister and five brothers have died.
