ARLAN NOLLEY
Arlan V. Nolley, 83, 511 N.E. First St., Washington, Ind., was dead on
arrival at the Daviess County Hospital. He became ill at home at 10:11a.m.
Saturday. He had been ill since Feb. 1 of this year.
The funeral Will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Church with the
Rev. Joseph Clauss officiating. Interment will be in Bethany Cemetery.
He was born in Daviess County Dec. 13, 1904 to Harvey and Margaret Benningfield
Nolley. He married Essie Hardesty Oct. 27, 1934 and she survives. He
was active in the Republican party and served on the Daviess County Election
Board. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church at Corning while a resident
in that community. After retiring from his farm and moving to Washington,
he became a member of St. Mary's Church. He was educated in Daviess County
Schools.
Surviving are his wife and two daughters. Mrs. Robert (Lucille) Dilion,
Montgomery, and Mrs. Jeanette DelVechio, Washington, three grandchildren,
three brothers and two sisters, Donald Nolley, Cannelburg, James and
Gilbert Nolley, both of Montgomery, Mrs. Victor (Cleo) Queen, Wabash,
Ind. and Mrs. Don (Kathleen) Livingston, Orlando, Fla. Three brothers
and one sister are deceased.
