Ralph Franklin Myers

Ralph Franklin Myers, 80, of Washington, died at 6:56 a.m. Friday at
Core Nursing Center at Dale. Born May 21, 1928, in Daviess County, he
was the son of Frank and Camilla Marie (Henry) Myers. A 1946 graduate
of Montgomery High School, he was an estimator and safety officer for
the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad for many years and later for U.S. Railway.
He retired from Res-Car, Inc. He was an EMT for the ambulance service
for several years. He was a member of Bethany Christian Church for many
years and had attended Loogootee Lutheran Church for some time. He was
also a 50-year member of I.O.O.F. Lodge. He is survived by his wife,
Regina (Sheley Hand) Myers, whom he married Nov. 24, 1990; Daughter,
Barbara Gail Minns of Washington; son and daughter-in-law, Gary A. and
Glenna Myers of Washington; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter;
stepdaughter, Kathy Small of Bicknell; four stepgrandchildren; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren;
sisters, Reba Allen of Sante Fe, N.M., and Shirley Oetzel of Louisville,
Ky.; and brothers John G., Daniel L. and Dale Wayne Myers, all of Washington.
His first wife, Rosemary (Boston) Myers, whom he married Nov. 27, 1952,
died Nov. 14, 1985. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m Wednesday at Bethany
Christian Church, with Bro. Larry Oetzel officiating. Burial will be
in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Gill
Chapel and after noon Wednesday at the church.
