Myrtle Eileen Luekhardt, 87, of Washington, died at 4:45 p.m. Friday at Emerald House.
Born September 3, 1922, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Charles W. and Nellie (Potts) Reed.
A 1941 graduate of Montgomery High School, she was a retired saleslady and had worked at Krogers, The Locker and Buehlers. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church.
She
enjoyed going out to eat with her sisters and special friend, Wilma Fleenor.
She is survived by one sister, Lucille Stoll of Montgomery; caretakers and nieces, Martha and Larry Wise of Boonville and Marsha and Jim Stoll of Montgomery; sister-in-law, Hazel Reed
of Montgomery; and several nieces and nephews.
Her first husband, Robert Mangin, whom she married September 14, 1949, died December 5, 1957. Her second husband, Harold Leukhardt, whom she married September 7, 1974, died December 29, 1986. Her parents; sisters, Eileen Reed, Eldena Simmons and Marcella Summers; and brothers, Floyd and Robert Reed are also deceased.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Gill Chapel with Rev. Marvin Cheek officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
