MRS. LEDGERWOOD TAKEN BY DEATH
Gordia Olive Hedrick Ledgerwood died Friday, October 7th, 1949, at 5:15 p.m. at her home in Reeve township near Alfordsville. Born May 31, 1881, aged 68, living her entire life there. She was the daughter of Hattie Robinson (Arms) and Samuel Arms. She was married to Elisha Hedrick, who preceded her in death and later married Illus Ledgerwood. She leaves her husband and two sons, Claude and Hugh Hedrick of Washington, eight step-children: Victor of Clay City, IN; Mrs. Vonda Wilson of Sioux City, Iowa; Guy and Ollie, Kingsley, Iowa; Mrs. Freda McKinney, of Seymour; Mrs. Mable Gibson, Loogootee, IN; Vernon of Esconaba, MI; Two sisters preceded her in death, Erma Jane and Carrie Scott and one brother, Neal; one living sister, Mrs. Zulda Lois Benskin, Flora, IL; one brother, Haden Arms, of Alfordsville; twenty-five step-grandchildren and two great step-grandchildren. She was a member of the Alfordsville Methodist church. Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 at Oak Grove church with Rev. Robert Williams in charge. Friends may call at the home after 3 o'clock today.
