NORTH VERNON - Mrs. Grace Olive Kirby, 85 Died Friday at 6:26 a.m.
at the Jennings Community Hospital, North Vernon.
The funeral was Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Pickett Funeral Home, North Vernon
with interment in Vernon Cemetery, Vernon.
Donations may be made to the Jennings county Hospital of the First Baptist
Church of North Vernon.
She was born Aug. 27, 1907 in Daviess county to marion and Myrtle Boyd
Gregory. She married Eugene Kirby in Washington and he died Jan. 30,
1992. She had worked in the shirt factory in Seymour at one time. She
was a member of the North Vernon First Baptist church where she was active
in the Loyal Daughters Sunday School Class.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter, William Larry Kirby, North Vernon,
Frederick Kirby, Edinburg, Ruth Jane Hughes, Osgood, eight grandchildren
and four great grandchildren and one sister, Nora Armes, Glendale. One
sister and three half brothers, Bernice Johnson, and Dick, Leo and Alvin
Gregory, have died.
