In loving memory

Dialtha Minerva Caroline FoustKettery

15 Aug 1849 - 29 Dec 1933

Mrs. Minerva Kettery, 84, widow of Jacob Kettery of Plainville, died at 6:15 o'clock Friday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mollie (Mary Elizabeth) Killion.  Mrs. Kettery had been an invalid for the past six years and for four weeks had been in serious condition.  A complication of ailments caused her demise.  Born in Tennessee on August 15, 1849, the deceased was a daughter of Daniel and Martha (Wills) Foust.  She came to Daviess County in 1882 and had resided here ever since.  She was married March 7, 1867 in Tennessee. (Sidenote:  I don't believe that is correct.  I believe they were married in Madison County, IN.)  Her husband has been dead a number of years.  Surviving Mrs. Kettery (besides the daughter with whom she made her home) is a son, James (Sidenote:  his name was Joseph Elsworth) Kettery.  Another son, Charles, is dead.  There are nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren also surviving.  Mrs. Kettery was a member of the Plainville Methodist Church and funeral services will be held there Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Geo. G. Peel officiating, burial following in the Plainville Cemetery.  Huette Poindexter will have charge of the funeral.
