Chas. Kettery dies Thursday.
        Well known farmer was past 47 years of age.
        Charles Kettery, forty-seven, living south of this city, died at five
        o'clock last Thursday afternoon after a long illness. Ill for more that
        a year and bedfast practically all that time, Mr. Kettery apparently
        was on the road to recovery and about a month ago was able to get about
        with the aid of crutches. Two weeks ago he became worse, death resulting
        late last Thursday. Bright's disease and dropsy causing his death. He
        was born in Madison County, 1881, and came to this county at the age
        of one year and had lived here ever since. He was the son of Jacob and
        Minerva (Foust) Kettery. On June 19, 1904 Mr. Kettery was united in marriage
        to Harriet Chestnut and three children born to this union survive. They
        are as follows: Alvis, Herschel, and Treva, all at home. The widow also
        is living, as are the mother, of Plainville; a sister Mrs. Albert (Mary
        Elizabeth) Killion of Plainville and a brother Joe Kettery of Terre Haute.
        Mr. Kettery was a member of the Modern Woodman Lodge of Odon. Funeral
        services were held at two o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Plainville
        Methodist Church with burial at Walnut Hill.
