Susan Ann (Susie) Chestnut Humerickhouse

Mrs. Susie Humerickhouse, wife of Daniel Humerickhouse, a well-known farmer of Marco, died Tuesday at noon, after an illness of one month from typhoid fever. Susie Chestnut Humerickhouse was the daughter of Felix and Harriett Chestnut, and was thirty-seven years of age at the time of her death. She lived the greater part of her life in Van Buren township and had many friends in this community. On July 1, 1915 she was married to Daniel Humerickhouse and went to their farm near Marco to make her home. She was a member of the Church of God at Shiloh, having united with the church January 6, 1895. She leaves her husband, one brother, Wm. Chestnut of Van Buren township, three sisters, Mrs. Wm. (Mary Clementine) Fisher of Plainville, Mrs. James (Phoebe Jane) Spurgeon of Newberry, and Mrs. Chas. (Harriet Melinda) Kettery of Madison township. The funeral services were held at Marco yesterday morning at 10:00 o'clock, with Rev. W.E. Watkins of Epsom in charge. Burial was made in the Marco cemetery.
