DEAN HEDRICK, 82, CANNELBURG, DIES
Dean Hedrick, 82 years old, R.R. Cannelburg, died at the O'Maley Nursing
Home in Loogootee at 11:35 a.m. today after a serious illness of three
weeks. He had been in failing health for three years. He was born July
28, 1883, in Reeve township, the son of John T. and Nancy (Hedrick)
Hedrick, and was a retired farmer. He was married Dec 29, 1905, to
Mary Ellen Raney who died April 8, 1958. He leaves two children: Mrs.
Arvel (Glen) Foster, city, and Mrs. Franklin (Elizabeth) Bauer, Reeve
township; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a niece, Miss
Jewel Raney and a nephew, Robert Raney, both of Reeve township, whom
he reared. One brother preceded him in death. Mr. Hedrick was a member
of the Oak Grove E.U.B. church in Reeve township where the funeral
will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
Friends may call at the residence of Mrs. Arvel Foster, 1014 West Walnut
street after 2 p.m. Saturday until noon, Sunday, when the casket will
be taken to the church.
