Hobart Lacon Foster

Hobart Lacon Foster, 77, 314 N.W. 10th St., died at the Washington Nursing Center at 5:30 p.m. Friday after a three month illness. Mr. Foster was a trackman for the B&O Railroad. He attended Grace Baptist Church. A native of Pike County, he was born May 5, 1903 to Cornelius and Nettie Jane (Zimmerman)Foster and attended Pike County Schools. In June, 1929, he married Frances Evelyn Ross, who died in April, 1969. On Dec. 16, 1972, he married Edna Potts and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters and one son, Mrs. Eugene (Connie) Robinson, Kansas City, MO., Mrs Dale (Virginia) Moody and Dale Foster, both of Washington; six grandchildren and two great granddaughters. Two stepdaughters and three stepsons survive, Mrs. Virginia Trujillo, Layton, Utah, Mrs. Barbara Tillie, Byrl Potts and Robert Potts, all of Washington and Edward Potts, North Carolina. Mrs. William (Lonetta) Jones, Washington, is a sister. He was preceded in death by a brother, Noble Foster. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Gill Chapel with the Rev. Jolly Moody as minister. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Pike County. Friends may call at Gill's after 2 p.m. Sunday.
