Edna Sarah Foster

Edna Sarah Foster, 87, formerly of 314 N.W. 10th St., died at 9:55 a.m. Sunday at Eastgate Manor Nursing Center. The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Gill Chapel, with the Rev. Davied Harker officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. unitl time of service Wednesday. Born October 1, 1912, in Huron, she was the daughter of John H. and Sarah (Gerkin) Sanders. A former employee of Reliance Mfg. Co., she was later a cook at New Cafe and at the Daviess County Jail. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Young Happenings Homemakers Club and the Fidilas Class at the Church. Her first husband, Thomas R. Potts, whom she married December 14, 1946, died November 30, 1968. She married Hobart L. Foster on December 16, 1972, and he died on November 28, 1980. Two stepsons, Robert Potts and Edward Potts, three sisters and one brother are also deceased. Survivors include four step-daughters, Connie Robinson of St. Louis; Virginia Trujillo of Layton, Utah and Barbara Tillie and Virginia Moody, both of Washington; two stepsons, Byrl Potts and Dale Foster, both of Washington; two brothers, Wayne Sanders of Muncie and Noble Sanders of Bedford; 20 step-grandchildren; and several step-great grandchildren.
