LOOGOOTEE, IN., - Paul E. Evans, 79, died at 3 a.m. Sunday at his home following an illness of eight weeks.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Titzer Funeral Home, Loogootee, with the Rev. Dennis Payton officiating. Interment will be in Goodwill Cemetery, Loogootee.

Friends may call to 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Memorial Hospital Hospice.

He was born June 24, 1915 at Mitchell to Walter R. and Elizabeth Fogle Evans. He married Lillian Dyer March 24, 1938 and she died in 1955. He married Annette Potts August 12, 1967 and she survives.

He was a retired farmer and truck driver and was a member of the Loogootee United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife and two daughters, Janice Jones, LaPorte, Betty Scheid, Indianapolis, six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

One sister has died.
