PLAINVILLE RESIDENTS DIE STEELE TOWNSHIP TOWN LOSES THREE WELL KNOWN CITIZENS
      THIS WEEK.
      Plainville lost one of its most highly regarded citizens when Allen Daugherty,
      a retired farmer, justice of the peace for Steele township for many years
      and a veteran of the civil war, died of pneumonia at 3:30 o'clock Tuesday
      morning. Mr. Daugherty was a native of Daviess county and would have been
      seventy-three years of age July 3. He is survived by his widow, four daughters,
      three sons, two brothers and one sister. During the civil war, Mr. Daugherty
      was a member of Company E of the sixth Indiana regiment of Volunteer infantry.
      He belonged to the Methodist Episcopal church, the Grand Army of the Republic
      and the Odd Fellows. The funeral services were held yesterday at 10:30
      at the M. E. church. Burial at the Plainville cemetery.
