Doris Alvena Doades, 98, of Washington
 
        Funeral services for Doris Alvena
        Doades, 98, of Washington, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May
        30, at Gill Funeral Home, 308 E. Walnut St., Washington, Ind., with burial
        in Ebeneezer Cemetery. She died Saturday, May 26, 2007, at Eastgate Manor
        Nursing Center. She formerly worked at the Vincennes Packing Company
        Plant in Washington, later at the Reliance Manufacturing Plant and U.S.
        Rubber Plant. She was an Avon representative for many years. She was
        a member of Veale Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters,
        Mary Lois Potts, Oakland City, Delores June and Cecil Rhodes, New Albany
        and Billie Joan and Roger Furnish, Bedford; 10 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren;
        and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her
        husband, Wilber Doades; a grandson; a son-in-law; four sisters; and three
        brothers. Visitation at the funeral home will be after 9 a.m. Wednesday,
      May 30.
