CHARLES DENSON DIES TODAY NOON
Charles Denson, 70 years old, a retired Baltimore and Ohio track foreman,
died at 12:15 o'clock this afternoon at his home 1004 Downey Avenue.
Mr. Denson had been in failing health for four or five years, but his
condition did not become alarming until last July 16. He was born here
in Washington August 21, 1871, the son of Joshua and Soprona Denson.
He married Lula Gibbs Batchelor in 1919. She is still living. He also
leaves three children, Carl and Floyd Denson of this city and Clifford
Denson of Mattoon, Ill. a stepson Bernard Batchelor, 11 grand children
and four step grand children. Mr. Denson was a member of St. Simon's
Catholic church and funeral services will be held there at 9 o'clock
next Tuesday morning with burial to follow in St. John's cemetery.
The body will be taken from the Keller mortuary at 10 a.m., Sunday
to the family residence.
