Mrs. Glendora Davis, wife of William R. Davis, a prominent farmer of Barr township, died at the Davis home two and one-half miles north of Montgomery, at 7:30 o'clock Wednesday morning, after an illness of four weeks from heart disease. She was sixty years of age. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. Mrs. Davis was born on the old (? illegible) homestead in Daviess county. She was married to William R. Davis in 1875. Of seven children resulting from the union, four daughters survive, they being Mrs. Clara B. Hughes of Port Arthur, Texas; Mrs. Etta Fraweek of Beaumont, Texas; Mrs. Isaac Bell of Barr township, and Mrs. Ethel Gress of Sikestoa, Missouri. In addition to her husband and children, Mrs. Davis is survived by four brothers and two sisters - Charles Banta, trustee of Steele township; Thomas Banta, of Sugarland; Henry and William Banta of Missouri; Mrs. Frank Hunter of Barr township, and Mrs. John Green of Oakland, California. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Antioch Christian church. She was a woman of the noblest character, doing her duty cheerfully and conscientiously throughout her useful life. All who ever knew her will have only agreeable memories of her.
