Clyde W. Colbert

Clyde W Colbert, 75, 7 East Illinois St. died Sunday in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Indianapolis. He had been ill since 1983, & seriously ill two weeks. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Ed Lee Mortuary with burial in Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. He was born June 4, 1915 in Daviess Co. to Guy & Oma (Clements) Colbert. He married Jean Wise on May 3, 1947, & she survives. He was a brakeman for Pennsylvania Railroad & later was a warehouse man for Haag Drugs in Indianapolis. He was in the Army & served in the W W I I Pacific Campaign. He lived in Indianapolis from 1951 & returned to Washington in 1973. He was educated in Washington's schools. Surviving also is one daughter, Mrs. Blake(Kim) Haag, Washington, & two grandchildren. Three brothers & one sister, Robert H Colbert, Miami Florida; Paul W Colbert & Larry D Colbert, both of Washington, & Mrs. Robert( Eleanor) Harris, Mooresville. Three sisters, Mary Kendall, Murial Ham & Mildred Bernard, are deceased.
