Odis Boyd, 84 Dies Thursday
Odis Boyd, 84 Washington Rt. 4, died at 7:10 p.m. Thursday at the Merrimac
Nursing Home, Cynthiana, Ind. He had been in poor health for five years
and seriously ill for a week.
Son of William Harrison and Lucinda (Risley) Boyd, he was born in Harrison
township March 28, 1886 and attended Daviess county schools. He was never
married. He had formerly been employed by McCord Corporation and was
a member of Aikman Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Fitzgerald, city, and Mrs.
Anna Purcell, Rt. 4, and a brother, Hillary Boyd, Rt. 4. Three sisters
preceded him in death.
The Rev. Glenn Hazel will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday
at the Gill Funeral Home and burial will be in Aikman Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after p7.m. today.
