Virginia Batchelor

Virginia Mae Batchelor, 63, 511 S.E. Fifth St, died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday
at her residence. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at Gill
Chapel, with Bro. Clifford Woodrum officiating. Burial will be in Oak
Grove Cemetery in Reeve Township. Friends may call at the funeral home
after 4 p.m. on Saturday. She was born Feb 2, 1923, in Daviess County,
to Louis & Lettie Letha (Potts) Shelton. She married William A. Tomey
on March 8, 1946 and he died April 11, 1972. She married Ernest H. Batchelor
on Dec 1, 1975, and he died July 20, 1980. Surviving are one daughter,
Mrs. Tom (Vicki) Polley, Brownsburg; two granddaughters, and two great
grandsons; step-mother, Mrs. Josephine Gillick Shelton, city; one brother,
Wilbur Shelton, Rt. 2; four step- daughters, four step-sons, two step-sisters,
Mrs. Hazel Collins and Mrs. Wilma Kirsch, both of this city. She was
preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
