Harold "Jasper" Armes

WHEATLAND--Harold "Jasper" Armes, 73, of Wheatland died Wednesday evening
at his residence.
He was born in Washington on Jan 16, 1908, son of Jack and Martha Potts
Armes, but had lived most of his life in Wheatland.
He was a retired coal miner, lastly employed with National Gypsum in
Shoals., and was a member of the Wheatland Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife since Sept 18, 1925, Lena McCray Armes; a
daughter, Jean Brockelman of Jasper, four grandchildren, a sister, Mildred
Davis of Washington, and brothers, Wilbur Armes of Glendale, Glenn Armes
of Washington and Clarence Armes of Martinsville.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday at the McClure Funeral Home, Bicknell
Chapel. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Wheatland Christian
Church with visitation an hour prior to the service. Brother Larry Hardeen
will officiate with burial to be in the Wheatland Cemetery.
