Armes Funeral To Be Wednesday David Jackson (Jack) Armes, 81 years old, 306 Mill Street died at the Daviess County Hospital at 5:58 p.m. Sunday after a serious illness of four weeks. He had been in failing health for two years. Mr. Armes, who was formerly employed as custodian at the State Bank, was born July 7, 1882 in Daviess County, the son of John and Nancy (Scott) Armes, and was married February 8, 1905 to Martha Potts who survives. He was a member of the Washington E.U.B. Church. In addition to his widow, he leaves six children: Wilbert Armes, Montgomery; Harold Armes, Wheatland; Glen Armes, and Mrs. Mildred Davis, both of Washington; Roy Armes, Indianapolis and Clarence Arms, Greenwood, Indiana; 15 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. He was the last of the family of nine. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Washington E.U.B. Church with Rev. R. P. Hawkins in charge and burial in the Wheatland Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gill Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Monday until noon, Wednesday, when the casket will be taken to the church where friends may call from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service.
