This cemetery is located on Stacy Road, Grant #92, at the mouth of Pleasant Run. This property was owned by Homer Stacy in 1947, when the following inscriptions were copied by B. C. Holmes.
"James Stuart and Rebecca Marchant Stuart once owned this plantation. They are more than likely buried on it. They were born and married in Virginia, migrated to Kentucky, then to Indiana. They willed the Plantation to their son Isaac Stuart.Laura Stewart Civey <lauracivey@earthlink.net> reported in February of 2003:"A check of the 1820 census of Clark County, Indiana, page 48, shows Abednego Richardson with one male 10-15, 2 males 26-44 (one of whom would be Abednego) and one female 10-15 and one female 26-44 (who would be the above-mentioned Sarah, who was born circa 1787. She was 33 years old in 1820 when the census was taken.
"James Stuart (Stewart) was a Revolutionary War soldier, who served as a private from Virginia. He was born June 8, 1743; died December 29, 1812. He was called James, Jr. He married Rebecca Marchant on June 1, 1765 in Berkley County, Virginia. Rebecca was born March 23, 1748 and died July 15, 1815.
"Proof: Roster of Soldiers and Patriots of the American Revolution Buried in Indiana, 1938, Indiana D.A.R. and Volume II of same, 1966, page 135; D.A.R. Patriot Index, NSDAR, 1966, page 648."
The following was written by Cynthia Ann Stewart (1811-1860), wife of Dr. Samuel M. Osborne, granddaughter of James Stewart, Jr. This taken from her diary:Mr. Abednigo Richardson and his wife Sarah bought Grandfather James Stewart's farm and lived on it till they died; they came from Christian Co., Ky. had no children left the farm to an adopted son Richard Green, they were friends to my Mother in her trouble and to her I owe much for kinder people I never met. They are buried in the family burying ground on the James Stewart farm, where also my Brother James Harvey Stewarts son Gist Osborn Stewart, and my son Harvey Stewart Osborn are buried also. My father Stephen Stewart in 1812 and GrandFather James Stewart & GrandMother Stewart.To add to list of burials:

- Gist Osborn Stewart, d. between 1830 -32 (son of James Harvey Stewart, who was grandson of James Jr.)

Laura Stewart Civey <lauracivey@earthlink.net advises that Harvey Stewart Osborn's birthdate is Nov. 18, 1837 d. June 22, 1842.
