Mrs. Mabel N. Spurling Dies at 69   Mrs. Mabel Nora Spurling, 69, of Habor heights, died today at Bartholomew county hospital after a 2-week illness.   Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Barkes, Inlow and Weavwe funeral home by the Rev. Robert Jones.  Persons may call from 4 until 9 p.m. Friday and until time of services Saturday.  Burial will be at Garland Brook cemetery.   Mrs. Spurling was born Jan. 30, 1902, in Jefferson county, the daughter of Elmer and Octavia Shaffer Campbell.  She was a member of the East Columbus Church of Christ and a 3-time past president of the Eagles auxiliary.   Survivors include a son, Dwight Spurling, with whom Mrs. Spurling made her home; five sisters, Miss Olive Campbell of Route 3, Mrs. George Hulse of 2109 Caldwell place, Mrs. Carl Boyle and Mrs. Bessie Cain, both of Scipio, and Mrs. Hulda Greathouse of Madison; a brother, Leo Campbell of Mooresville; and two grandchildren, Larry and Rebecca Spurling.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Campbell.   From: "The Republic", Columbus, Indiana, Thursday, September 2, 1971, page 12.
