PHILLIPS-At the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Ira Phillips, Elizabethtown, Sunday, June 23, at 6 o'clock p.m., of old age, John Phillips, aged eighty years. Funeral services announced later.

For the last few years the deceased was a resident of Columbus, having moved to Elizabethtown about two years ago after the death of his wife. With the death of Mr. Phillips the immediate family line of which he was a member ceases to exist. In his early days he was a prospersous land owner and stock dealer, residing near Elizabethtown. He resided for a few years in Kansas City. He is a brother of Mrs. Jane Adams, of Elizabethtown.
