Martha R. Petree died at her home in Clifty township, Monday, Feb. 8, 1892, at 4 o'clock a.m., of consumption, aged forty-one years, two months and twenty-two days. She was the wife of John Petree, who died some five years ago, and is the mother of two daughters. She was a member of the Baptist church. The funeral took place on Tuesday, the 9th; the remains were followed by a large number of friends and relatives to Sandcreek church, where the funeral services were conducted by Rev. Albert Carter. Afterward the remains were laid to rest at the same place.
