The Columbus Republican Columbus, Indiana Thursday, December 28, 1899 Page 7 OBITUARY George Pepper, son of Ida and Joseph Petter, was born October 8, 1888, at Burnsville, Ind., and died Sunday evening, August 13, 1899, aged ten years, ten months and four days. He died of typhoid fever, after a short illness. His sorourn on earth was short; his mission having been completeed, he was called up higher to join the angel band, where trials adn tribulations ne'er can come. His youthful life which was so joyous in the household, is stilled forever on earth, yet in heaven he beckons father and mother and sister to come to him. George was a bright and intelligent boy, adn was always ready to perform the bidding of his parents. While we bitterly mourn the loss of his life, so young and tender, we must remember that he who gave it hath taken it unto himself again as one of his precious jewels.
