John Q. Owens.

John Quincy Owens, a beteran of the Civil war, died at his home in Union township this morning at 2 o'clock, at the age of sixty years. Bright's disease was the cause of his death. The funeral will be held from the Flatrock Baptist church Thursday morning, the funeral party leaving the house at 9 o'clock and arriving at the church at 11 o'clock. The services will be conducted by the Rev. Frank Collier, of Taylorsville, and burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
