The Columbus Republican Columbus, Indiana Thursday, August 28, 1898 Page 6 OBITUARY Mary Ora, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. O.H. Mennet, died at teh family residence on Washington street, Saturday, August 6, 1898. The deceased was born in Jonesville, Ind., July 27, 1887. Her early demise is a source of deep regret to all that knew her and especially to those that witnessed the martyr like patience with which she bore her last illness. Happy through it all, smilingly passed away, leaving to her sorrowing parents the memory of her youthful fortitude. During her brief school life she gave evidence of abilities which aroused the ambitions hopes of parents and teachers, but the will of the Divine Educator is supreme, and he saw fit to transfer her to his own tuition. The funeral took place from the Christian church at 4 o'clock Sunday, Aug. 7, 1898. The services were conducted by Elder Scofield. The remains were conveyed to Garland Brook cemetery for burial.
