Rev. John H. Hill

Born in Bartholomew Co. in 1838, he died at the home of a son, Golden Hill, Sunday, 4 miles north of Edinburg in Blue River Valley, age 76. Seven years ago he and his wife, who died one year ago, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. He was a minister 55 years, living most of life in Flat Rock Township, Bartholomew County. Funeral service was Tuesday at the Baptist Church near Clifford with burial at Liberty. His six sons were pallbearers. Three daughters also survive. His children are: Thomas and David B. Hill of Indianapolis, Curtis and Roscoe Hill of Clifford, Golden Hill of Edinburg, Wilford Hill of Franklin, Mrs. Cordie Conner of Edinburg, Mrs. Callie Christman of Clifford, and Mrs. Blanche Shaw of Flat Rock Township.
