The Columbus Republican Columbus, Indiana March 26, 1903 Thursday Page 5 Obituary. James Harmon, son of Nicholas and Anna Harmon, was born in Bartholomew county, July 5, 1861, and died March 22, 1903, at the age of forty-one years, eight months and seventeen days. He was married to Lizzie M. Keller, December 26, 1901, who survives him. His quiet unassuming and straight forward life and beautiful character endeared him to all who were acquainted with him. The last eighteen years of his life were spent at the home of his brother-in-law, John Wright, whose children learned to love him as a brother. His kind words and timely advice will always abide with them. By his death the wife loses an affectionate and devoted husband, the nieces and nephew a worthy counselor, the brothers and sister a fond brother and the community a valuable citizen. His patience and endurance in the midst of the suffering of his last illness were only symbolic of the sufferings endured by his Savior, who has called from work to reward.
