John W. Green, aged 52 years, a well known and muh esteemed resident of Taylorsville, died at his home in that town at 4 o'clock Thursday, Dec. 29, of hemorrhage of the brain. Funeral from the residence at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. O.E. Haley, of the Scottsburg M.E. church. Burial at Carter's Chapel. Mr. Green, who had been in business in Taylorsville and was a proprietor of a general store when he died. He was at one time postmaster of Taylorsville. He was a member of the Taylorsville tribe of Red Men and the Red Men will have charge of the funeral. He is survived by a wife and four children, tow sons and two daughters.
