The Republic Columbus, Indiana March 20, 1906 Tuesday Page 1 Death of Miss Emily Deputy. Miss Emily Deputy, sister of Mrs. King, wife of the Rev. Lewis King, of this city, died at the home of her niece, Mrs. John E. Hopkins, nine miles south of Vernon, this morning, at the age of seventy-five years. Miss Deputy was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Deputy, and was born in Jennings county. She had been a member of the Baptist church since she was fifteen years old. She was the last surviving sister of Mrs. King, of this city. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock and by her last request it will be conducted by the Rev. Lewis King. Burial will be in the Deputy cemetery. Mrs. King will accompany her husband to attend the funeral.
