A Woman Who Was Well Known in Social and Religious Life in Columbus-Death Caused by Consumption-Remains Will Arrive Here Tomorrow-Funeral to be Conducted by Revs. Tinsley and Curtiss. Mrs. Nora Cooper, the wife of Cassius B. Cooper, died Monday at Denver, Colorado, where she has been for the past six months for the benefit of her health. The sad intelligence was announced here by a telegram received by Mr. George W. Cooper from Mr. C.R. Cooper. As Mrs. Cooper had not been well for the past three years and had been quite sick for the past several months, death was not unexpected. The remains arrived in this city yesterday evening on the 4:30 o'clock train and were taken to the residence of Mr. Howard Duffy at Seventh and Washington streets. The pall bearers who were selected by Mrs. Cooper, are: George I. Winans, James Glanton, Joseph Condon, Dr. Woodard, Dwight Wetz and Jerastus Dunlap. The funeral will take place on Friday. As was arranged by Mrs. Cooper the funeral services wil be conducted by the Rev. C.W. Tinsley assisted by the Rev. G.L. Curtiss. Further arrangements have not yet been made. Nora Cooper was born at Kenton, Ohio, on the f17th day of April, 1861. She was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. C.C. Peet, who formerly resided here. At the age of eighteen years she married to Cassius B. Cooper in this city and, with the exception of a short time spent in Kansas, they have since resided in Columbus. Mrs. Cooper was on of the most highly respected Christian women in this city and was beloved by all who knew her. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and was an ardent worker in the organizations of the church. Mrs. Cooper was a well educated and highly cultured woman, and was a charter member of the Woman's Monday Literary Club. Her husband, three children, Dale, Ethel and Ralph, and her mother, three brothers and a sister survive her. The last named parties reside in Chicago.
