The Republic Columbus, Indiana January 3, 1903 Page 5 AN AGED RESIDENT DIES Christian Christian Passes Away at His Home on East Fifth Street. Christian C. Christian died of pneumonia this morning at 8:15 o'clock at the family home, 137 Fifth street. He had been sick since Christmas day. He was on of the oldest residents of the city. Christian C. Christian was born in Prussia, Germany on February 3, 1825, and came to America in 1850. He first lived in Cincinnati and after a short time went to Decatur county, where he lived until eleven years ago. Since that time he resided here. Most of his life was spent at farming, but of late years he was unable to work. He was married in 1877. He is survived by his wife and four children, William H. Christian, Christena Christian, and Matilda Christian, of this city, and Mrs. Fred Rowell, of Marion. Funeral services Monday morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. F. O. Lamoreux.
