The Columbus Republican Columbus, Indiana Thursday, April 7, 1904 Page 1 David Chitty David Chitty died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Flora, Sunday at the age of sixty-six years. Death came suddenly and was caused by blood poisoning. The funeral was held from the residence Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. L. Perry. Burial was in the Liberty cemetery. The surviving children are Mrs. James Henry, Mrs. William Flora, Miss Louie Chitty, Walter Chitty and Norman Chitty. Mr. Chitty was born in Flatrock township where he lived until thirteen years ago when he came to this city. He was custodian of the court house for two years and was well known throughout the county. He had been a life long republican.
