The Columbus Republican Columbus, Indiana Tuesday, November 12, 1895 Page 3 Obituary William Martin Case, the subject of this sketch, was born March 21, 1840. Died Oct. 30, 1895, aged 55 years, 7 months and 21 days. He was united in marriage to Mattie N. Barr, to which union was born six children, three of whom, Cora, Lenna and Maude, are still living. On June 20, 1892, his wife was laid to rest. Bro. Case early in life enlisted in the cause of Christ, and all his life has been noted for his earnestness and zeal in the service of the Master. During the long period of his peculiar affliction his great comfort and joy was in reading God's word, a copy of which he carried with him to his work in the fields, and in his resting moments sought consolation in its blessed pages. He leaves three children, one brother and a host of friends to mourn his death, to whom comes the consoling thought that to day he is safe in the arms of Jesus, free from pain and trouble. "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord."
