William J. Wasson

Born March 14, 1844, died April 28, 1916 at the home of a son, Elmer D. Wasson. He lived most of his life near the Shilch Church. He married Susan Whirlow July 28, 1861 and they had 4 daughters and 5 sons. He is survived by his wife, 1 daughter, Alice Jones of Horace, Indiana; 3 sons, Marshall of near Newbern, Dee (Elmer D.) of Hope, and Fletcher of Shiloh; 2 sisters and 1 brother. 3 daughters and 2 sons are deceased. Funeral service was Monday, May 1, at the Hope Methodist Church with burial at the Moravian Cemetery.
