Evelyn Jewel Border VanSickle 79, Indianapolis, formerly of Freedom, IN, passed away March 23, 2006. Jewel was a homemaker. She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of VFW Post #7117, Worthington, IN, Order of the Eastern Star, Cumberland Lodge and the Worthington Christian Church. Jewel is survived by three daughters, Elaine VanSickle, Roberta Buroff and Anita Hershberger; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings, Robert Border, Betty Peterson, Charlene Lemon, Mildred Moon and Donna Price. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Emerson VanSickle; brothers, Fritz Border and Donald Border; sister, Jeanette Tapscott. Services for Jewel will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2006 in Legacy Funeral Alternatives at Memorial Park, with visitation there from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2006. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
